Making a short film, building a miniseries world.

While learning lighting, sound, editing and filmmaking by doing, I brought together a team of people I care about and directed a short film under limited but workable conditions.

In short

Producing a film is not only about finding a good idea; it is about directing people, time and technical decisions around the same story.

Starting point

Making an idea genuinely filmable.

I turned the idea for Dejavu into a nine-page script. From the beginning, I treated the location, cast size and available technical resources as part of the story.

That allowed us to build a clear production plan a small team could realistically execute without losing the narrative we imagined.

Short film · Dejavu

Building a real set with limited resources.

I did not leave lighting, sound, editing and fundamental filmmaking techniques in theory; I learned them by applying them during production.

I directed people I care about around a shared goal under reasonable conditions. I experienced first-hand how set communication, time management, actor direction and technical decisions shape a story.

Miniseries · Yaşam Kanseri

A small opening into a more ambitious world.

The script for the miniseries Yaşam Kanseri is complete. Because it is intended as a more professional and expansive production, I am sharing only a short opening page in this portfolio for now.

The opening establishes the project's language and tone, offering a controlled window into its world without revealing the full work.

Creative direction

Bringing people and technique into the same story.

An actor's comfort, the direction of the light, clean sound and the rhythm of the edit are not separate decisions. A change to one affects the entire scene.

I therefore treated the shoot as a system, and the team as the people creating that system together.

The written starting point of Dejavu.

You can read the nine-page script in which I shaped the scenes, rhythm and dialogue flow before production.

What stayed with me

The short film taught me that directing a story is both a technical system and a deeply human act of communication.
